Hi, I’m Rachel.

Rachel with kids, teens, adults, couples & fmailies!

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My approach is rooted in empathy and client-centered care, and I believe each person’s story, experiences, and perspective deserve to be honored. My goal is to create a warm, non-judgmental environment where you feel safe exploring your thoughts, emotions, and challenges at your own pace.

I work with children, adolescents, couples, and families who may be navigating anxiety, depression, mood concerns, self-esteem struggles, codependency, substance use, parenting challenges, and grief. In our work together, I focus on understanding your experience from your point of view and helping you build insight, confidence, and healthier ways of coping.

Much of my work is informed by an attachment-based perspective, meaning we explore how relationships and past experiences shape the way we connect with others today. I also focus on helping individuals and families develop healthier communication patterns so relationships can feel more supportive, connected, and balanced.

In therapy, I focus on helping clients recognize their strengths while building greater self-awareness. Whether we’re working individually, as a couple, or within a family system, my goal is to support you in navigating life transitions, processing difficult experiences, strengthening relationships, and building emotional resilience.

I currently accept private pay as well as BCBS and Aetna insurance plans.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my two Frenchies, connecting with friends and family, seeing new movies, sewing, and practicing yoga. These activities help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, creativity, and meaningful connection—values I also bring into my work with clients.

My Approach

Working with kids

Rachel also enjoys working with young children and understands that kids often communicate best through play rather than words alone. She incorporates play-based therapy techniques to help children express emotions, process experiences, and build important skills in a way that feels natural and engaging for them.

Through activities such as games, creative expression, storytelling, and other play-based approaches, Rachel helps children explore their feelings, strengthen emotional regulation, and build confidence. She also works closely with parents to provide support and practical tools that help reinforce progress at home.

Her goal is to create a safe, supportive space where children can feel comfortable being themselves while learning healthier ways to understand and express their emotions.

working with teens

Rachel also enjoys working with teenagers and understands that building trust with teens can take time. Many adolescents come into therapy unsure of what to expect or hesitant to open up, and Rachel approaches this stage with patience, authenticity, and a genuine ability to relate.

She focuses on creating a relaxed, supportive environment where teens feel comfortable being themselves without pressure or judgment. With a mix of humor, curiosity, and real conversation, Rachel often helps teens gradually open up, even when they initially come in with their guard up.

Her goal is to help teens feel understood while supporting them in navigating the challenges that come with adolescence—whether that’s managing emotions, friendships, family dynamics, identity, or the pressures of growing up.
