Hi, I’m Geena

I'm a Master of Social Work intern at Aurora University, where I'm pursuing my degree with a focus on trauma-informed care. I'm passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate life's challenges and discover their own capacity for healing, growth, and resilience.

I work with teens and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, disordered eating, life transitions, trauma, and the everyday stressors that can sometimes feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.

My Approach

I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical coping skills that can be used in everyday life. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I'm committed to meeting you where you are while supporting you in working toward the goals that matter most to you.

As an intern, I'm dedicated to continuous learning and providing thoughtful, evidence-informed care under the guidance of experienced clinical supervisors. I strive to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and empowered as we work together toward meaningful change.

When I'm not in the office, you'll likely find me spending time outdoors, training for a run, getting lost in a good fantasy novel, creating art, trying new recipes in the kitchen, or enjoying quality time with my family.
